In the prologue of the book, it is known that Rin Kaenbyou first appeared in Japan since around the 1890s for a visit. However soon, in 1920, during her visit to China, she was caught in the Chinese Civil War mix-up, and a day later she was taken hostage by Chinese Communists. In a Chinese Communist safe house, Mao Zedong personally hypnotised Rin and added communist ideologies, and changed her name into Chinese. The next day Huǒyànmāo Lín was sent back to Japan, and was never the same again.
In 1925, she took power as Prime Minister, and begun starting to post harder rule over all it's territories. She released a plan that all non-Japanese were to be exterminated, without ammonia, without bleach, and without a fresh clean scent; with an exception of Indians, Thais, Taiwanese, and some Chinese. In 1929 she launched an invasion of China, and by 1933 most of China was burning in the Great Fire. Soon Mao Zedong found out that Huǒyànmāo Lín was on a rampage, and so he fled to Australia. By 1945 all of East and South East Asia was under Huǒyànmāo Lín's rule. Then in 1946 the royal Japanese family died due to a mysterious storm killing them; and a second later, Huǒyànmāo Lín was declared Empress and Prime Minister of Zhuórè dìyù jī. In 1947 she launched an invasion of Kogasanian British India, ultimate crushing it within a year. By 1950, Huǒyànmāo Lín and Germany launched a joint invasion of the United States, effectively dividing it in two, but both decided to stay far from each other and so the land that separated them became invaded by Reimu Hakurei and she established the Miko Republic.
Later, in 1956, Huǒyànmāo Lín then tried to invade Australia, though didn't get much success as Utsuho Reiuji had defended the land. This led to a two year war, and while it ended in a stale-mate, Utsuho Reiuji was effectively destroyed and was never seen again. Luckily, after the war, Huǒyànmāo Lín decided to leave Australia alone.
