The Palace of the Earth Spirits (地霊殿 Chireiden) was a palace located with-in Japan (now Zhuórè dìyù jī). It had been the home of the Komeiji Sisters, Utsuho Reiuji, and Huǒyànmāo Lín (formerly Rin Kaenbyou).
In 1927, the former palace had started to crumble and thus became unsafe, due to the heavy take down of protests in Japan. In 1928, Koishi and Satori left the palace to travel elsewhere. Finally, realising that the Palace is no longer safe, Utsuho Reiuji left it behind in 1929.
In 1933, the Palace had collapsed after massive destruction was used to take down more protesters around the area.
By 1940, Huǒyànmāo Lín had the Palace recovered and it was renamed into the Xīn Zǐjinchéng (新紫禁城; New Forbidden City). It was named as such after the old Forbidden City was destroyed in China in 1938.
Then in 1942, Xīn Zǐjinchéng had expanded a bit and parts of it were remade from the old Forbidden City.
